Empordàlia is an association of small producers from the Empordà who have been working the Empordà land for generations. Our commitment is quite simply to combine tradition and quality in every bottle. To do this, our intention is for each vintage to conserve the defining features of the Empordà.

We are a big family, and we work the vineyards and olive groves just as our grandparents and great-grandparents taught us to do, with respect for the land, true to our values, and carrying forward our tradition, for the benefit of future generations.

Empordàlia is made up of three cooperatives in the Empordà region – those of Pau, Roses and Vilajuïga.

Visit to the wine cellar and wine/olive tasting

At the heart of Empordà find Empordàlia where we offer all year to enjoy a day in our cooperative Pau where you will see the old mill and the current oil and cellar. In addition we offer a tasting of three wines, Pau’s Oil and tastings of "l'Empordà a Taula".

You can choose to supplement it with other options such as a visit to the vineyards or olive groves or a meal in “Empordà a Taula”.

Visit to the vineyards and breakfast

From Tuesday to Sunday we suggest you come at 09:00 am to Vilajuïga to go to the best vineyards of Empordàlia, to walk and to see the different soils and grape varieties.

At 10.30h/11.00h- we will be back to the cellar in Vilajuïga, where you will take your breakfast. The breakfast consist in:

Toast to choose from: Omelette, Catalan sausage omelette, Catalan sausage, pork cheek or bacon.

And accompanied by: Wine Sinols, Assorted cookies, Garnatxa; Coffee.

The difficulty level is very low and the trip will be made in private cars on good roads.

Make your own must

If you'd like to enjoy a truly unique experience, put yourself in the shoes of the harvester and don't miss out on our summer event: Make Your Own Must: a fun and original family activity! The meeting point is the Vilajuïga cellar, at 9:30 am. Everything will be ready so that we can leave for the vineyards at 10:00 am on the mini-train. There, participants will clip off their grapes and put them in crates. Breakfast will be served at the same vineyard and then the activity will continue at the Vilajuïga cellar. This is where we'll crush up the grapes with our feet, pressing the must, and finally, bottle it up. Limited places!

Make Your Own Oil

Once again, Empordàlia is celebrating its annual autumn event: Make Your Own Oil.

The event will be held on November or December, and is set to start at 9:30 am at our mill in Pau. We'll be visiting new and centuries-old olive groves on the mini-train, and harvest our olives in the traditional way. After returning to the mill, we'll enjoy a delicious breakfast while we wait for the trailer to arrive with our olives. We'll have the chance to see how the oil is made, step by step, and then at the end, we'll bottle it.

It's a fun family activity, perfect for having a great time and learning more about the world of olive oil. Limited places!
